Sanyo has a new Xacti, the HD800, and it’s apparently a great leap in video quality. An improved camera over their HD700 the HD800 will be able to shoot video in 720p widescreen and has an eight-megapixel camera.

The HD800 is said to have improved image sharpness and color accuracy as well as 3D noise reduction. The HD800 features a 5X zoom lenses as well as face detection and can be connected to your computer or HDTV via a USB or HDMI output.

Canon debuts two new players in the camcorder market, they intro the iVIS HF11 and the iVIS HG21.

The iVIS HF11 is an HD camcorder with 32GB of built-in memory, an SD / SDHC card slot, Full HD recording capabilities using the polarizing AVCHD format and sports a 12x optical zoom.

The iVIS HG21 is quite similar to JVC’s Everio GZ-HD40; it features 120GB internal HDD, 2.7-inch flip-out LCD. Rest of the specs are similar to the HF11. You can expect both the HF11 and HG21 HD out next month in Japan for about ¥140,000 ($1,317), each.

The DZ-BD10H Hitachi HD Camcorder features a built-on Blu-Ray recorder (BD-R/RE), 30GB of HDD, a 2.7″ LCD screen, HDMI output, face detection function, and a SD/SDHC slot.

The DZ-BD10H sports a 7Mipx 1/2.7’’ CMOS sensor with a 10x optical zoom and records video in 5 modes: HX (1,920×1,080) @ 15Mbps, HF @ 11Mbps, HS @ 7.5Mbps, SX @ 9Mbps and LF @ 6Mpbs.
