Then check out the Lumix GH1.
The Lumix GH1 is really a camera not a camcorder, but it happens to shoot pretty good video as well. It was Panasonic’s first entrance into video-capable DSLR cameras. The GH1 is a micro four-thirds digital camera, with HD capabilities. Of course you can take great still photos, but we will cover a few things about its video recording.

The GH1 has ISO controls, which are usually not found in camcorders. This means you can change the amount of light the camera can absorb in “low light” conditions.
The video controls are pretty extensive for it to be a camera not camcorder. It also comes complete with a rotatable LCD, and live autofocus during video recording.
This camera definitely has all kinds of possibilities, even for beginners, you just have to get in there and learn all the functions.
The camera is smaller than the normal DSLRs so it is a little easier to hold and use the way you want.
If you’ve got the money, the interchangeable lenses and autofocus Lumix GH1 camera/camcorder is probably worth it.
